4/27/19 – Saturday
Today I traveled to Vacationland RV to table a Life Goes On table at an annual open house. There, I met up with Margaret Pearson and Jan Eschen. I particularly valued this time because I thought that I was able to connect on a more meaningful level to Margaret and Jan. It was nice because we were able to walk around together to different tables, try popcorn and licorice, play games, as well as briefly speak on a radio station. We weren’t able to get as many people as expected to come to our table because that day it was snowing pretty hard. Who would’ve guessed that? I found it remarkable that despite the low number of people coming to our table, Margaret, Jan, and I were all able to keep a positive attitude and enjoy what we had there. Our moods didn’t die down because no one registered throughout the day. Towards the end of the day however, we were able to sign up two adults to join the registry. Although I haven’t been keeping direct track, I’d say that throughout the entirety of the internship to this point, we were able to get 30 people to join the registry. To me, these are good numbers!
